Getting ready for Chrimble!

Well, like many others I’ve been pretty much stuck in the house over the weekend, so I’ve been amusing myself by making Christmas cards and had a go at this lovely Christmas wreath, shown to me by Emma Crockett in Glasgow.
It’s very effective and actually very easy to make. You need a polystyrene ring, lots of pins, half a pack of Real Red and Garden Green card the five petal punch and lots of patience! 

The finishing touch is the gorgeous striped grosgrain ribbon from Stampin' Up, I am becoming addicted to it.

A quick gift box

A quick post to show you a lovely, fast gift box I made using one of my favourite colour combinations – Pretty in Pink, Concorde Crush and Certainly Celery. This gorgeous paper I’ve used on the box sleeve is from the Lap of Luxury designer collection.
The flower was inspired by a tutorial I saw at the Stampin Up convention. It uses the bauble punch – isn’t it fab!

Stampin' Up adventures - part 1

Sorry I haven't posted for a while! I've been having so much fun with Stampin' Up this month, I've hardly had time to catch my breath!

My first adventure was a trip to Glasgow to help out on the Stampin' Up stall at the Hobbycraft show. We met lots and lots of lovely crafters, did make & takes,demos and a fab prize draw.

Here are the girls on the stall, ready for action.

We were very busy and had loads of fun talking to people about Stampin' Up and took lots of orders for the show special bundles.

A card for a man

Here's a quick card I made for my brother's birthday. I always find men's cards a bit of a head scratcher, but I think these colours from Stampin' Up make the card.

The stamp set is 'Cheers to You' which also has some lovely cocktail and champagne glass images, perfect for lots of occasions. Using blender pens and Stampin' Write markers gives a lovely colour washed effect that you don't get with alcohol based pens.

I used the stamp-a-ma-jig to position the new 'dot,dot,dot' stamp to make a lovely background, stamping Chocolate Chip ink onto Chocolate Chip card gives a great effect. Then I drew diagonal lines of Always Articoke using the Stampin' write markers onto matching card for the green section.

Night of Navy scallop circle punches and More mustard are used for the accents and lettering (which I cut and layered with my die cutting machine). I am just loving the colour combination!

Rainton Meadows papercraft show

Woohooo! Hello to all the ladies I met today at the show. We had a great time talking to fellow crafters and it was nice to see there's already quite a few Stampin' Up fans around.

In response to feedback today I am hoping to put together a new catalogue launch party in October to showcase the exciting new colour collections. 'Follow' my blog to be updated with new ideas, promotions and any new events we have planned. 

There were lots of questions today about where to get these gorgeous products. The current Stampin' Up catalogues are here. The simplest way is to drop me an email  - I can send you a paypal invoice and have the products delivered to your door - p+p is only £3.95 or 5% whichever is greater.

Or why not hold a workshop in your home and earn free products based on sales of the products on the night.
